About the role
You’ll Need …
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related discipline with 2+ years of direct sales experience (or 5+ years direct sales experience in lieu of degree), calling on Target headquarter account and managing e-commerce retailers with a history of setting and delivering a growth agenda; pet care industry a plus
- Vendor Specific Portal: Proficient use of Target POL system and all included vendor apps and reports to create and track metrics expected by customer scorecards. Includes:
o Greenfield, POS, PO’s, Unsaleables
o DC inventory/purchase planning
o Vendor Income Dashboard, Launch Pad, IMN, PCN, JBP, AP/AVP
o Creation and presentation of all customer line review materials
- Ecommerce Experience: Experience managing Ecommerce sales with large Omni-channel retailers
- Data Analysis: Deep understanding of category management and fact-based selling techniques (using point-of-sale and syndicated data analysis)
- Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and present highly persuasive, data-driven insights from the ground up
- Negotiation & Business Skills: Demonstrated ability to close business deals, negotiate successfully, and expand client relationships
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Business Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $120,000, and eligible for a 20% sales incentive bonus opportunity. The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience for this position.
